Project Manager - post profile
The main responsibility of the Project Manger is the delivery of the required project deliverables,
within the specified time frame, the specified cost and to the required quality level. The project manager Is accountable to Venn’s
clients’ project board for the delivery of project benefits when working on site or to the Venn Project board for internal projects.
Project Managers can work on our clients’ sites or in the Venn offices at Stonehouse.
Project Engineer - post profile
The purpose of a Project Engineer is to assist in the delivery of specific client projects to agreed budgets,
timescales and quality. The work could be undertaken both at our clients’ premises and Venn’s offices. Project Engineers will
typically report to a Project Manager. Project Engineers can work on our clients’ sites or in the Venn offices at Stonehouse.
Site Engineer - post profile
The purpose of a Site Engineer is to be the interface between the assigned contractor carrying out intrusive on-site
work and the client. The site engineer may be asked to be the planning supervisor under the CDM Regs. Site Engineers would usually be based at
one of our clients’ sites.
Project Controls Engineer - post profile
Project Controls are essential for the delivery of projects to time and cost. Project Controls Engineers need
to be expert in at least one of the following:
- Cost Engineering
- Estimating
- Risk Management
- Planning
- Baseline management
A Projects Controls Engineer (PCE) supports Project and Business Managers in the development and delivery of projects. The PCE will be provide
project information to enable Project and Business Managers to make informed decisions about the development and delivery of projects. Project
Controls Engineers can work on our clients’ sites or in the Venn offices at Stonehouse.
Decommissioning Engineer - post profile
The purpose of a Decommissioning Engineer is to provide Decommissioning advice and expertise to client
organisations or Venn project teams as required. The Decommissioning Engineer would need to have expertise in methods of Nuclear decommissioning.
The Decommissioning Engineer will work as a part of a project team or as a consultant on an ad hoc basis and would work either out of our offices
or on clients’ UK sites.
Waste Engineer - post profile
The purpose of a Waste Engineer is to provide Waste Management advice and expertise to client organisations or Venn project
teams as required. The Waste Engineer would need to have expertise in current waste disposal legislation both Nuclear and conventional waste. The
Waste Engineer will work as a part of a project team or as a consultant on an ad hoc basis and would work either out of our offices or on clients’
UK sites.
Environmental Engineer
Environmental Engineers are required to provide specific environmental skills needed to support the Nuclear Licensees, including:
- Compliance with requirements of Nuclear Installations Act and appropriate Site Licences
- Environmental legislation, including RSA
- Environmental services including BPEO studies, ISO 14001 implementation, radiological and environmental impact assessment
- Radiological discharge modelling
- Chemical and radiological contamination assessment and remediation
- Process, waste management and remediation engineering
We are seeking applications from individuals with an acceptable level of relevant post-graduation experience in the waste and/or environmental
consultancy field.
Safety Case Engineer
Safety Case Engineers are required to assess the safety of processes and plant at nuclear facilities. This will call upon all
your experience in nuclear power plant operation, reactor physics or radiological protection, as well as your engineering degree. Nuclear Safety
Engineers are responsible for providing project support and participating in the production of nuclear safety documentation including undertaking:
- Hazard/fault identification studies e.g. HAZOP, FMEA
- Qualitative and Quantitative Hazard assessments
- Accident sequence modelling assessments, safety management studies
- Provision of support to Engineering Substantiation studies
- Safety Case preparation
